Monica spent her summers with her Papi in Cuban cafe's in Little Havana, Miami. She remembers it being "like walking into a Cuban-American episode of Cheers." She overheard witty banter while eating delicious pastelitos and sandwiches. Papi's meal wouldn't be complete without a cafecito perfectly sweetened with *espumita.

Monica and Joshua decided that they wanted to recreate that vibe in Toronto wrapped up in a small party big vibe package. Joshua says, "we didn't want Little Havana Café to be just another coffee truck. We've made conscious choices to be as authentic as possible while choosing sustainable and organic ingredients when we can. With the build of the trailer and espresso bar, we wanted the materials to be repurposed. We really want to make an effort to lighten our footprint while being true to what we do... make great coffee."

They've added old family coffee and cocktail recipes to pay homage to all things loved. "We offer authentic Cuban beverages and snacks, play good music and create a great vibe. It feels like a mini vacation" says Monica.

Joshua and Monica share a love for caravans, strong espresso, good vibes and rum. You’ll find them on set catering or whipping up a mean Cuban cafecíto at the bodega. Follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to know all the latest newness!

*Espumpita is creamy sweet goodness made from cane sugar that's whipped and caramelized by drops of espresso.
